Common questions

A map pin is not a person.

A recent location is a clue, not proof of who is holding the phone. We always say where the official tools stop — and where “track any number” claims are simply false.

Can I locate a phone from its number alone?

This site doesn't, and the official tools don't work that way: Apple Find My, Google Find Hub and Samsung Find locate a device through the account signed in on it, or through location a person chooses to share.

What if the phone is turned off?

Some eligible devices can show a last-known or network-assisted location if the feature was set up. Check the timestamp; a new direct update requires the right conditions.

Should I erase it immediately?

Read the provider’s warning and check backups first. Erase is often a last resort because it permanently removes data and can affect later finding.
