What phone finding cannot do
Finding tools cannot guarantee a current pinpoint location, recover an erased device's data or override an account that was never linked.
What to do
Look at the timestamp, device status and service prerequisites.
Use available official actions for your own device and switch to carrier, account and police steps when the finding signal ends.
If it’s not that simple
Switch tasks when the signal ends
No fresh position
Focus on available protection rather than promising a new map.
No linked account or prior setup
A public IMEI/number page cannot retroactively configure finding.
A concerning map point
Use authorised reporting channels; it does not identify a person.
Data already erased
Finding a handset and recovering its former local data are different tasks.
Good to know
A map marker is not an identity check or permission to confront anyone.
